Vaervenshyael headed straight to Johann. He wasn't in the manor, so she went to his house and rapped at his door until he answered.

She smiled as she hugged the "good" doctor. She was still glowing from the touch of Hysh. "You have done a good thing this night. A very good thing. However," and here her smile faltered for just a bit, "should I ever find a bit of my...essence...in your possession again, I shall have to kill you." She debated internally about the need to cut him at this point and decided against it. "And that, my dear doctor, would bring me no pleasure." Her smile returned in full. "I have come to enjoy your incredulous diversions and...wild suppositions. The spice of life and all that."

With that she left.

The next day was windy and chilly, with what looked like snow flurries. After a good night's sleep, Vaervenshyael was back to repacking her supplies in anticipation of the next outing.

Something seemed missing. Everyone was convinced a fiend/demon had been loosed from her last night. If that was the case, where did the thing go? It was time to get more answers. That meant returning to the manor house.

Black Thom was surving Ludowiches. He had fresh tallow candles lighting up the dark corners of the manor. Vaervenshyael sought Udrin, the one who might have answers.

Tegort's scars were more noticeable in the daylight. It was unnerving to think what kind of fights an ogre had been in to be scarred so. She passed by the ogre to question the elf.

Udrin would not go with the party on their next journey. He could not bear to be long in the presence of the unshielded stones. Instead of going himself, he would send his champions...this party. He would not yet speak about the future after retrieving all the stones.

Vaervenshyael left the manor. There was something heavy over Padua. The grey sky had a green hue. Morrslieb would rise tonight.

Something dark coalesced elsewhere in town.
